One of my favorites when ordering in Shakey’s Restaurant is their best-seller MOJOS. It is deep-fried potato coated in flavored flour. A nice alternative to famous french fries we used to have in fast-food chains.
So whenever I have been craving for mojos, I don’t have to worry since I can make it at home whenever I want since you only need basic ingredients that can be found in your fridge.
How to make Homemade Mojos? Here’s the recipe:
Making mojos is so easy as counting 1,2,3 … Just prepare your sliced potatoes (not peeled but scrubbed), flour, salt and pepper, oil, milk and your favorite powdered flavorings and spices.
In a separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (flour, salt and pepper, powdered flavorings and herbs). Also in another bowl beat eggs, add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper and milk.
Dip the sliced potato in the egg mixture then dredge it in the dry mixture. Then fry until golden brown. And you’re done. Simple, isn’t it?
